Weird to start out a positive with something so negative but I was constantly annoyed by the way this looks. It’s unique but I feel like this needs to be remade today with better effects.
Anyway, this ruled. First 15 minutes absolutely locking you into everything. The way they make Tom Cruise play the Kinect but he somehow makes it look awesome. They somehow explain this tricky concept of precrime very succinctly.
It’s incredible how prescient the movie is. I read they created an 80 page bible on what the future would look like and the eye scans to the targeted advertising were all rock solid and feel real. He doesn’t spend too much time on these either, ingratiating them as part of the world instead of lamenting on how things are different because it’s the future.
Nails a great sci fi movie about predestination which I always love
Who is in charge of removing access to the facility because they need to be fired for not taking Tom Cruise off of that list
Tom cruise in the bathtub while the spiders search the room is money. Apparently, Spielberg said they’d CGI the air bubble and Tom Cruise said Nah I’ll learn how to do it instead. Sensational
